10. Terracotta Army

The Terracotta Army was first discovered by a Chinese farmer in the year 1974. Terracotta army is basically sculptures of soldiers, cavalry and horsemen working under the first Chinese emperor, Qin Shi Hang. These sculptures vary in sizes and shapes and are made of the Terracotta material. It is believes that this army protected the King even after his death. Thus, this pack of more than 8000 soldiers and a large number of horses and chariot was buried right next to the King after his death.

9. Pandas

Giant pandas are becoming a rare species due to deforestation, thus bringing them down in the list of endangered species. Most of the existing giant pandas are found in the temperate zone of the China bamboo forests. Giants pandas, known for their sober nature look attractive and weigh about 350 lbs. they are one of the most loved animals not only in China but in the rest of the world.

8. Century Egg

Century eggs is one type of cuisine which you will find no where else except China. These eggs are produced by preserving the eggs of duck, quail or chicken by mixing them with clay, salt, rice husks and quicklime. They are preserved for weeks and months, which results in a creamy yolk inside and the outer part of the egg turns into a dark brown color. This egg is also called the preserved egg, millennium egg or the hundred year egg.

7. Inventions

Gunpowder, paper and printing was first invented by the Chinese, remarkable of which is the invention of the gunpowder. It is made up of various chemicals mixed with Sulphur. Gunpowder invented by the Chinese is used in making and building nuclear weapons and to stabilize the military threats on a country. This gunpowder was later then used by a lot of western countries to develop and strategize their warfare.

China is known to be the highest producer and exporter of green tea in the world. The taste and aroma of the Chinese tea is something which cannot be compared to any other flavor of tea. Chinese tea is a very light and rejuvenating hot beverage and there is no chance  of actually criticizing the taste and fragrance of the tea, because it is simply amazing and different.

5. Feng Shui

The Chinese believe a lot in Feng Shui. For example, they completely trust the color red because according to them the red colour is a symbol of loyalty, fortune and good luck. Their number traditions also cannot be expelled as they believe that number 8 is supposed to bring luck and fortune whereas on the other hand they despise the number 4, claiming that it is an unlucky number.

Built in 7^th century BC, the Great Wall of China is not just a monument the Chinese are proud of, but this wall also has made its place in the Seven Wonders of the World list. This wall is made up of wood, stone, tiles, brick and earth materials. The wall is spread over a large area and it is said that the most famous wall at this site was built by the first Chinese emperor himself, Qin Shi Hang.

3. Tai Chi

Tai Chi is an exclusive form of martial arts by the people of China, who introduced it as a part of self defense. Not only does the learning of Tai Chi helps people protect themselves, but also helps in the overall development of the body and mind. Due to the health benefits of this art form, Tai Chi has been growing enormously and is popularly known as ‘moving meditation’.

2. One Child Policy

This is basically one of the biggest and best steps taken by the Chinese government where married couples are not allowed to have or give birth to more than one child. Only couples who give birth to twins or triplets are excused but they are still restricted from getting any type of bonus. On a general level, this policy was adopted to eliminate and curb social, economic and environmental issues at a large level.
