Guests are a very peculiar part of life; it does not matter in what part of the world we live, one always get guests at home. Friends, family and even distant relative come to visit, sometimes at a holiday and sometimes during vacation. The duration of their visit is small so we try to make their trip as memorable as possible, cleaning the house, scrubbing the bathroom, using new dishes and cooking delicious food, people try to do everything possible to make the guests feel comfortable and relaxed. If you are having guest soon then here are a few tips to make your home looking more welcoming:

Don’t use bold colors for wall, use light colors like shade of foam and peach. Prefer white color as well. Go for light blue and green, lilac is another awesome color. The best option is to use the colors that you love, same goes for the furniture, don’t use too funky colors, and go for neutral colors such as black, white and brown.

In this hot temperature outside, try to keep your home cool off. There should be no humidity inside the house, open all windows and let the fresh air pass by or simply turn on the air conditioners. Try to keep the temperature of the house as less as possible. When someone from the outside comes to your home, he should feel the difference.

When your guest arrives make sure there is a peaceful place to sit and talk, there are enough chairs on the dining table. Create a pleasant environment inside the house, put fresh curtains, put fresh flowers in the vase, and spray some neutral scent inside the house.

You need to buy furniture which is modern as well as comfortable.

If there is no guest room then arrange mattresses, extra pillow and blankets, put extra chair at the dining table. There should be some privacy available for the guests.

They say first impression is always the last impression and the first impression is the entrance to your house, make sure that the front door has been dusted, there are no spider webs, the porch has been  cleaned , there are no leaves & mud at the doorstep, put fresh door mats and remove the dusty one. Keep a plant or two besides the main door, plants makes the house look welcoming. If possible then put a welcome sign at the door, make sure that house number plate is clean so that the guest will find it easy to locate the house in case they are coming for the first time.

As for the night time use artificial lights but don’t use the orange bulbs, only use the white light. Don’t use a single source of light, use multiple sources.
