Looking back over the past twelve months, according to many of us 2014 was a pretty decent year for movies.From Boyhood to Interstellar 2014 saw great pictures, they speculated about the future, leaving the audience enthralled.And now 2015 has a lot more in store for us, it is going to be a year of some big- budget films worth watching.From the new Star Wars to a remake of the Jurassic Park , this next year looks like it’ll be jam-packed with sequels and new tales including the much-anticipated Fifty Shades of Grey.As 2014 begins to draw to a close, here are 10 upcoming films that’ll give you something to look forward to for the coming year 2015.

10) Star wars: The force awakens

Episode seven of this great saga is going to be released in the year 2015, it is an epic american space film directed by J.J. Abrams. The force awakens is scheduled to release on 18th of December so you will sadly have to wait for the entire year to watch this movie. The casting of the movie includes some of the great actors including Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher.

9) Jurassic world

Jurassic World is an upcoming American 3-D science fiction adventure film. It is the fourth part in the Jurassic Park film series. The film was in its development phase for over a decade after the release of Jurassic Park III in 2001. The film was initially scheduled to be released in the summer of 2005 but the release date was pushed back several times as the script went through many revisions. Finally its going to be released on 12th June of the coming year 2015.The film is directed by Colin Trevorrow and the casting includes stars like Chris Pratt, Judy Greer and Ty Simpkins.

8) Cinderella

Cinderella is American live action and romantic fantasy film directed by Kenneth Branagh.The film is scheduled to be released on March 13, 2015. Lily James is playing the title role in the movie and Helena Bonham Carter plays her fairy godmother while Cate Blanchett is playing the wicked stepmother.The story largely follows Disney’s 1950 animated adaptation, with several twists in it, so the movie would be worth watching.

7) The divergent series: Insurgent

The Divergent Series: Insurgent is an upcoming science fiction action film directed by Robert Schwentke, based on Insurgent, the second book in the Divergent trilogy, which is written by Veronica Roth. It is the sequel to the 2014 film Divergent and the second installment in The Divergent Series. It will be releasing on 20th of march 2015. The interesting part of the movie as depicted by the trailer is that there’s a mysterious box featured for the second film that was not  in the book, while the first part Divergent stayed true to the book, so this part definitely will have something new for the viewers.

6) Peanuts

The Peanuts Movie is an upcoming American 3-D computer-animated film produced by Blue Sky Studios and is directed by Steve Martino. The film will star Charlie Brown on an epic quest. It features the voices of Bill Melendez and Noah Schnapp. It is set to be the fifth full-length feature film to be based on the comic, and the first feature film based on the characters in 35 years. The film will also commemorate the 65th anniversary of the comic strip, and it is scheduled to be released on November 6, 2015.

5) Jupiter ascending

Jupiter Ascending is an upcoming space opera film written, produced, and directed by The Wachowskis. The film was initially to be released on July 25, 2014,but it was later shifted to July 18, 2014 and then finally the film’s release was delayed to February 6, 2015 due to additional time needed to complete over 2,000 special effects shots of the film. The cast of the movie includes Mila Kunis, Channing Tatum, and Eddie Redmayne.

4) Minions

This film is again a 3-D computer animated comedy film. The movie is actually a sequel to despicable me and despicable me 2.It is scheduled to be released in the United Kingdom on June 26, 2015 and the United States on July 10, 2015.

3) Inside out

It is an upcoming American 3-D animated comedy film produced by Pixar animated studios.The film will be set in the head of a young girl, Riley Anderson, where five emotions—Joy, Anger, Disgust, Fear and Sadness—try to lead the girl through her life. It is scheduled to be released on June 19, 2015. Not only kids but also parents are going to love this movie.

2) Mockingjay part 2

Mockingjay Part 1 was just released at the end of November and Part 2 will be hitting theaters on 20th of November, 2015.The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, is an upcoming 2015 science fiction war film directed by Francis Lawrence . It is the second of two cinematic parts based on the novel Mockingjay, which is the final book in the Hunger Games trilogy, written by Suzanne Collins.

1) Fifty shades of grey

Fifty Shades of Grey is an upcoming American erotic and extremely romantic drama film, directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson, based on the best-selling novel of the same name written by E. L. James. It is set to be released on February 13, 2015 just in time for the valentines day.
This list is just superficial as far as 2015 movies go.There are also movies like Avengers, Magic mike XXL , Pitch perfect that would be releasing in the upcoming year and also after the success of The fault in our stars there would be another movie releasing in 2015 based on the novel of John Green.
